American Air Operations, a national leader in public safety and government drone training, offers Part 107, drone system, and flight training, emergency air support, aerial photography and videography services, and sells aircraft and accessories. Using small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS'), which are commonly referred to as a drones, American Air Operations operates in compliance with Part 107 of the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) regulations. All pilots hold an Airman Certificate with a sUAS rating from the FAA, and the company possesses the appropriate aircraft and liability insurance policies.

Training

American Air Operations is a national leader in public safety and government drone training.  Training for businesses and individuals is also available.

Since 2018, American Air Operations has proudly trained professionals from 258 agencies (federal, state, county, local, tribal, and college/university) and companies in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.

American Air Operations offers training to prepare for the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Unmanned Aircraft General - Small (UAG) aeronautical knowledge exam. Those who pass the FAA's exam will receive a Remote Pilot Certificate and can fly for non-recreation purposes. In-person drone system and flight training courses are also offered.

American Air Operations is partnered with the largest distributor of drones in the United States.  We have drones that are optimal for every application, including public safety, aerial photography and videography, agriculture, inspection, surveying, and more.  We also sell a wide range of accessories.

American Air Operations is currently promoting technological advancement of American-made drones and accessories.  We will highlight products as they become available.

Emergency Air Support

American Air Operations provides emergency air support services to public safety agencies (federal, state, county, local, tribal, and college/university) throughout Michigan.  In addition, American Air Operations provides emergency air support to public safety agencies throughout the United States of America after a natural disaster (hurricane, earthquake, etc.).

American Air Operations operates a variety of aircraft. Our primary aircraft is equipped with thermal imaging, a 200x zoom camera, laser range finder, spotlight, and loudspeaker. The aircraft can fly in adverse weather. American Air Operations also possesses a command station with a large monitor, two portable power stations with a 2600W max output and 4400W peak output, solar panels for use during power outages, and can livestream. 

Our highly experienced pilots have flown a variety of public safety missions.

American Air Operations provides financial support to non-profit entities.  Since 2017, we donated thousands of dollars to support public safety, aerospace advocacy, and education.

Emergency Air Support

Emergency air support was donated to several communities since 2017.

Disaster Support

American Air Operations provided support for Hurricanes Milton (2024), Helene (2024), Idalia (2023), and Ian (2022).

American Air Operations also offered discounted training to government agencies so they have additional resources for future natural disasters.
